I love the old roses called Seven Sisters that used to climb all over my Grandma's porch. I would sit for a long time, trying to count all the different tints of colors on that vine.

(Okay, I'll admit that I googled hues, tints, shades, etc to get the correct word.)

Dianthus, I planted a little one three years ago and now have six plants, the seeds spread. Once the plant gets large enough to have multiple blooms you can just walk by my house and smell the enticing fragrance. When they are in bloom I I love to sit by them. Phlox would be my second, another great fragrance!

I love the Sweet William flower..so many colors. Also the Lily (my grandaughters name), but like my father and sister, yellow roses win the blue ribbon for me.

Gladiolus are my favorite. Love all the colors and the way they bloom on the stalk.
