If you buy your batteries on sale and save them I am sure you will not regret having a wireless mouse. I have had one for years. My batteries seem to last quite a while with all the use it gets.

BUT DON'T FORGET TO CHECK THE BATTERIES WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK....My cordless mouse was acting up BIG TIME... and my mon-technical hubby said - did you check the battery? DUH, I said... Problem solved...and so simple.

I love my wireless mouse and it only seems to require a new battery about 1 to 1-1/2 mos. It's only a AA battery. I keep it on all the time. The brand I use is Logitech and was only about $20 if I remember right.

if your mouse has a ball then it just might be that you need to clean his ball out. open the bottom and very carefully lift the ball out. clean out all the lint that seems to gather there and put him back together.
Some times our little mice don't need replacing just a little ball cleaning will fit them right up.
