he asked me if people still flew the American Flag..they did right after 9-11..for a year or so..The Pride showed.
and now..not so much.
i still fly the flag on a large straight pole. it gets lowered to half staff when a Michigan soldier is KIA. It stays lighted up at night.
from what started as a whole block of houses flying it 9 years ago..to about 5 or 6 of us. (i have old Marines living on both sides of me..)

we still fly ours daily, unless it is just too windy/weathery. every member of our families (both sides) display their flag...and we wear red on fridays (support our troops day/color!

We still fly ours, but do take it down in the winter, back up for spring, summer and fall.

We fly our flag day and night in support of our troops and will continue to do so as long as they are in harms way.

I don't have a flag up at my house, but I have a flag up in my cubicle at work.

I support the military & believe it's more important to act than just wave a flag around. (off the soap box now)

We fly ours 24/7 and replace when it gets tattered. My pet peeve is people flying "rags"....so disrespectful ...IMHO..

We display a flag year round. Wouldn't feel like home without a flag. An in-law, from another country, asked why so many Americans fly the flag. I told her it's because we like who we are as a country.

We have a flag pole in our yard. I have a flower bed around it. It was one of the first things DH had put in when we bought the house.
