Still working on all Christmas prep here. Have made a dent in shopping for DGKs. Lights outside look great, and a few decorations done inside. Will be a quiet Christmas for us this year~

Lets see, Nothing decorated, Very few presents bought, of course nothing wrapped. Not baking or cooking this year. hmmm lol I tried working it out with myself, thinking maybe I just wasn't in the Christmas Holiday Spirit. Not so...I am I am, I want to see decorations, enjoy the music, visit with family and friends, eat, drink and be merry. I just Don't want to DO anything! I'm tired, It's been a long year. It's all good tho and having said all that, I am off to drag out some decorations, get online and shop , But that wrapping thing.....lol

Marietta: I am with you girl! I told the kids I wasn't going to do much baking (if at all). They had such a look on their face I will now be adding baking back on to the list. It's all fun, unless under a time crunch. But just once it would be nice to go somewhere and be able to enjoy the festivities without all the effort. Kinda like my husband does every year LOL

It's not because we have more business, it's because the managers dropped the ball in production control. We are paying for their mistake. Also, I learned how to budget years ago when my DH was laid off every other year, we do just fine on a 40 hour work week, pay the bills, save money, and have some spending money too. Money isn't everything, especially when I'm so tired, I can't even work up the energy to go to my grandson's Christmas program....

LOVE your last sentence--I always leave some of the shopping to DH--mostly online stuff (how hard is that compared to dragging around in traffic to shop???) and this year he's been a total bump on the log! Starting to get alittle tense around this house I may be handing kids envelops with a note that "if your Dad can pull away from tv, you may end up getting...."!

Lucky you! DH doesn't use a computer....nor does he shop. His idea of a gift is cash or a GC. He has one of our DDs get the GC.He asks me what I bought everyone.....approves everything & loves my holiday food & cookies.Ah well,he's a sweetie who has no interest in holidays.That comes from parents who were the same.
