Yup. Our Joe reacts much better when we tell him our intentions and say goodbye. We left the house at 7:30 this morning and came home at 5 pm. Other than a short walk with our neighbour and her dog, he was alone in the house with two cats (they are not buddies!!) No mangled felines, no knocked over food containers. Win, win!!

Old time vet told me years ago to always leave the tv or radio on in the house when any pet is left alone. It eases the separation anxiety.
