I haven't read the entire thread so I apologize if this has been said before. Time and time again Border Collies are said to the most intelligent of all the breeds and the ones I've had the pleasure of having been around, who've had great training, have been undeniably brilliant!

Congratulations on your new 'Babe'....she caught the brass ring of a loving home!

It said, "That getting another pet after a beloved pet has passed on is NOT a replacement for the dog that has gone to the Rainbow Bridge, but is filling the empty place left in our hearts that our beloved pet left."

I like that saying for no dog could ever replace Sassy..she was one in a million and each dog has their own personality.
These two do get along just dandy, Amy is 7 yrs old and has a lot of patience with the new pup.

I had Borders on the farm and they can out think you!! They are a smart dog and lots of fun to have.

Adorable!!! We too got a new puppy this year after our beloved Genna succumbed to cancer-they're definitely like one of the children though this one's toddler antics can be a bit trying Congratulations
