mu daughter worked as a manager at Gymboree , there were grannies that would come in and buy 5 to 12 pairs of the same pj's for the grands for Christmas eve so we now do that at our house, there is just us three. It's fun.

My daughters were allowed to open one gift on Christmas Eve. It was always a new dress for them to wear on Christmas Day.

We always open pajamas on Christmas eve. My 17-year-old still loves is and is always curious what kind of 'jammies' he's going to get.

My family always got to open 1 gift on Christmas Eve , always PJs for the boys and nighties for us girls, one year they were red and white striped flannel. For years afterward my mom told of how nauseated she felt with all of us kids in stripes bouncing off the walls with Christmas excitement! Yep, she was pregnant with # 9!

Yep, my kids got new pjs every Christmas Eve. Now the grands do too. It's a favorite part of our Christmas. I select the pjs! All the kids and grands live close enough to be with DH and me for Christmas.

Oh, off topic but have you tried the Great Value hot chocolate mix? I thought it was lacking in flavor when I tried it.

We always had "the elves" leave a gift on Christmas Eve when we went to church. It was many years befor the kids realized I always " forgot" to turn the iron or curling iron off and ran back into the house when everyone was in the car - to set out the elf present.. They, too, never wanted to see it go away.
