He is a beauty...we were out in the country recently at
a friends house and they had a peacock, when anyone arrived
he loudly announced them, fun to watch....

He is beautiful. I have never seen the back side of them and find that it is as pretty as the front. Thank you for sharing.

I think peacocks are one of God's most brilliant masterpieces!! Amazing creatures.

And you probably DO NOT want one to live at your house. They are loud, and their droppings are large. We have them at a park in our city, and sometimes they go to the nearby homes. The homeowners are always calling Animal Control to come shoo them back to the park, because they are kind of dirty to have around.

But they are indeed beautiful!! :-)

To this day, we have never figured out how he found us or got there, but he stayed with us in town until he died and our neighbors were fascinated that he never strayed away. I was visiting with an older lady who is a quilting friend recently and we were looking through her old, old quilt magazines. There was a beautiful applique peacock quilt pattern in one of them. I told her the story of Oscar and she gave me the magazine. I look forward to making an Oscar quilt one day.
could you scan it and send me a copy? I would love to see a picture of it.

Very pretty, first time I have ever seen a picture of the back side, it is just as amazing as the front.
We had them up the road, and they are very loud birds.

I am just as happy looking at yours because they like to roost above my friend's car and it has destroyed the paint job on it.
