Red face Newest Donation to Indiana Women's Prison

I've been packing for a couple of weeks to get ready for our move this weekend to the Western Slope. So....not being able to quilt I decided to crochet a baby afghan and hat for the Indiana Women's Prison nursery program that I sponsor. The box is now ready to send with 2 quilts, 8 hats and this set. Thanks for looking!

How sweet and charming these are. What a lovely gift for someone. Beautiful workmanship. Thank you for sharing.

Oh Peggy, that is darling! I wish I wasn't alergic to some yarns. I can crochet with only certain yarns.

Dawn~ this is such an easy pattern. I've made it with sport weight as well as worsted weight yarns. You use 2 strands and a huge hook and it goes very quickly! It is always so soft and fluffy when finished. Are you allergic to acrylic yarns?

They are perfect baby colors and you did a great job. Also, it's a wonderful project you sponsor. One of our local quilt shops sends refurbished sewing machines to a women's prison.

Thank you! This is the Indiana Women's Prison so it is pretty close to Ohio. I wonder if that is where your LQS is sending their machines? I know that they would love to receive anything like that. The general population at this prison has several ministry groups that they crochet and sew for....

Danna~ it is just a "single" crochet done with 2 strands of yarn. I used a pastel mint and antique white for that particular blanket. It is a super easy afghan and works up very quickly.
