Question Anyone Use Pool Noodles to Make Wreaths?

I've seen where people use pool noodles and duct tape to make wreaths. Anyone have any experience or suggestions on this technique? The styrofoam wreath forms are getting expensive and pool noodles are still on discount around here.

    Thanks for any information.

inI have seen pink pool noodles made in the cancer ribbon for breast cancer awareness. I would think you would find it hard to get a smooth circle wreath shape. Even if you ran wire through the pool noodles with the center hole, you would get a bit of a distortion where the ends join. They are inexpensive right now so give it a try.

we made beer cans out of hulu hoops one year for halloween ...needed more so we used tubing had to stick a piece of dowel rod in the tubing so it was round might work with the pool noodle [just about a 4 to 6 in piece] but then it wasn't distorted

I would think the noodles would break trying to form into a circle.
I use to decorate wreaths and making silk flower arrangement.

I cut the noodles to put in boots to keep them standing tall when in the closet.

I think that there was a hint on Pinterest not too long ago about how to bend them - must be some trick to it. Maybe just do a search on Pinterest. HTH

Heres a tutorial for it. http://cuttingcostsandcals.wordpress...noodle-wreath/

you have to cut the ends at an angle so they will nest together.

i know that the really cheap ones are more flexible and also thinner.

Pool noodles are long I think made from a type of styrofoam. They are used in swimming pools and people hang on them to float around the pool with. They are fun. They call them pool noodles because they are long like spaghetti noodles.
