Yes, I noticed on etsy.com that one of the softies was very much like one I had made (maybe the giraffe?) and I think the original designer was from Australia. Thanks for all the compliments. They are just too much fun to make!

Bubba was made using "Mamma Bear" from the first book, Softies only a Mother Could Love. I took the pattern and re-drew parts of it to make it larger than the pattern as it's supposed to represent Grampy (my DH) and Grammie represents me...which is smaller like mamma bear. I made 2 sets of bear couples...for each of our granddaughter's grandparents. The fabric for Bubba was taken from bits of my husbands favorite t-shirt and a pair of old worn blue jeans.

Once you find a pattern in the book that you like it's amazing how easy it is to adapt it and make your own original. Good luck!
