That is so true, I wore my Harley sweat jacket almost all year round. Except for those 5 days of 90 degree days we call summer.

In November, studded tires go on, and the snow chains get put back in the trunk. We have lived here for 7 1/2 yrs now, bought studded tires once for a 2 wheel drive pick up. Since then we have bought 4 wheel drive trucks and haven't had to put studded tires on any of them. Besides I don't like that sound they make on dry pavement and they tear up the roads.

We've never put studded tires on either...for the same exact reasons. Our little Dodge Dakota really LOVES the snow and ice...never gives us a problem -- and DH hardly ever puts it in 4 wheel drive. Not as cold this morning...but I'm with you, the jackets haven't been put away!!! :(

pretty here in Alabama its still hot, Well today its nice we are getting some rain, but winter isn't all that bad, we get ice sometimes we got a little and i mean a little snow last year here , but this town latterly shouts down when there is snow or ice because we do not have the stuff they have up north to clear our roads etc it gets to be a mess here

I'll take the cold instead of all that heat. One can always put on enough clothes to keep warm, but it's hard to take off enough to keep cool, unless you want to embarass yourself and others. It has been great this week. No AC, doors and windows open and even at night. Just pull the quilts up around your neck to keep the chill off. My kind of weather. Wish it could last 365 days a year.
