Quilting is my escape from everyday stress. I have learned that the world is not going to end if I let some of the household chores go for a day or so. You should try it as the feeling is wounderful.

While working full time for 36 years, I tried to be 'supermom' and nearly killed myself. Gave up Saturdays to clean house. Now that I'm retired, can afford housekeeper, husband does yard, I water flowers and try to garden. Still find time to cook, do laundry, (travel) and help raise Grandaughter, in addition to quilting. It takes me longer to cut the fabric than sew it! LOVE RETIREMENT!

Everyday chores (laundry, household chores, yard, cooking, errands, etc.) consume a big portion of my daily routine but still there are days where I say that I am going to do my quilting and hang the daily chores. I may not get to my quilting in days or weeks but when I do, I do.
