I remember going Trick-or-Treating in the snow; I also remember having it warm and sweating profusely. I never knew how to make the costume - warm or not!

Well....maybe with any luck since the snow has come early.....you will all not get much snow through the winter. Oregon gets snow...BUT NOTHING like what you guys get. If I could convince Mother Nature to drop your winter snow on Oregon this year for you I would do it in a heart beat. I love the snow no matter how much we get.
Our power goes out on us occasionally in the wintertime, but this year we are prepared. We bought a camping stove/oven combonation and a 10 gallon propane tank and we have it in our little shed JUST IN CASE. At least we will be able to cook. Keep safe everyone. :)

We're getting it here, too. I don't remember ever having any snow in October, never mind having a major snowstorm! No one here is prepared for this. DH wanted to mow the grass one more time and I haven't taken my dahlia tubers out yet. There are still leaves on the trees, which means people have not raked all their leaves yet. This is unreal!

Lucky you actually. In Denver, it usually snows on Halloween and Easter, when the kids are supposed to be outside. Then for Thanksgiving & Christmas, it's sunny (still cold but the sun is out.)

NE had it on the 25th several years ago. Branches broke all over. Power lines went down. It was real eerie if you stood outside, very quiet except you could hear the branches breaking from the blocks around.

Update this morning. It's a bit sad, but so pretty. I do love snow - just not so early.

The tree is half there so far, but the wind has just picked up. Mother nature might do another limb trimming before its done.

A look down our street this morning

I guess it's time to take in my hanging baskets LOL
