i am still new, but my mom is such a fan of tony hillerman, i also like the novels, mom is 94 and blind but tries to get them from the school of the deaf and blind, in florida, (they are not always helpful, but, maybe overworked, i am also fortunate that she still remembers all, and mostly me when i was bad, lol, i am an only child, so guess who gets picked on

iam so happy for you and your child, much talent comes from the parent

Thanks for all the nice replies. I have found that the 'needle arts' folks are generally the nicest people to know.

I LOVE all of the Tony Hillerman books. The way he painted pictures with his words was phenomenal. I learned so much about Indian lore from his works. Most of all, the mysteries that intertwine both are so enjoyable. I will be looking forward to reading your daughters work. It is no small honor to win a Hillerman award. You should be VERY, VERY proud. Please extend my congratulations to your very talented daughter. Oh, and take a bow yourself for instilling the love of writing/storytelling in her.
