What I think is everyone these days are irritable. None of us have much free time, short of money, health isn't what it should be, family problems, etc. It makes us short-tempered and intolerant. Many of us have nobody else we can talk to and it is easier to talk to someone that isn't involved in our personal lives. That is why the PD is a great place to have.
Another thing I noticed is a lot of people will read a post and just not comment. I'm very guilty of this. When it is a very sad story I'm left in tears and speechless (anybody that knows me knows that I'm NEVER speechless!) and I just don't feel like I have anything useful to say.
I wish that the PD section was actually backwards and had the most recent posts show up first. I tend to like to read boards backwards. And when I'm short of time I can just view the latest news.
We all need to relax and try to be more accepting of others. Everyone has a bad day once in awhile and others (like me) seem to have one every day ;-)

strictly speaking, rants, raves & vents about purely personal events belong in the PDAs.
IF one might help raise awareness about an important topic, or IF one might help the member get critically important advice about a serious situation, then we leave it in GCC temporarily to permit the added exposure.

You might try calling the Dr. office and telling them that you can't wait that long. Insist on being seen sooner. A lot of times they will have patients that are just coming in for a follow up that would be willing to switch appointments with you. That's what happened when my husband had a staff infection in his spine. They told me that they couldn't get him into a specialist for 6 weeks! (he would have been dead by then--seriously) I called the administor of the clinic on a Friday morning and she called me back within the hour and he was seen the very next Monday at 9:30am. By Tuesday morning he had be medivac-ed to a larger hospital in Springfield, Il. where they pumped him full of antibiotics and did surgery early Friday morning. Exactly one week later. The doctor told me that he was so bad that the risk of death was only slightly less than his risk of parallysis and that both were extremely significant.

Life to short to sweat the small things. I will go and check out the diary section, I guess I am one of those that did not know we had one either. I am learning things here every day and love all of you here.

I never go to the diaries, guess I had the wronf ide about them. For me, I thought the chat was pretty much for everything. I scan through and open what I enjoy, and comment when I feel I have something to say( most of the time!) I just wish the Watch this topic button at the bottom of thr page had a back button right next to it so I didn'T have to scroll back up to the top each timr. But , I can live with it.!

I hope you got the information you needed for your back. And that you are feeling much better. I don't think there is any pain worst then back pain your hold body hurts.
I hurt mine in 90 and I have been in pain since. It can't be fix with surgery. So I have to take pian med everyday.
