Default An old pin cushion

This afternoon our group the "Ostseequilter" met with yummy cake and tea and coffee and we had a little show-and-tell. The most impressive thing was this little pin cushion, made by the mother of one of our members long time ago....

The speciality of this pin cushion is the placing of a thimble in it!! We never saw this before!!!

I have one just like that...a friend made it for me years ago. Never thought of it as a pincushion though; I always thought it was just a needle/thimble case .

Does anyone have the pattern for this pin cushion? I'd like to try it. Thanks. Looked on websites posted, but can't read German or whatever the language is.

Hello, I'm sorry but I don't have any pattern for this! I'll ask my friend, perhaps her mother has the one.....

And yes, if you had a look on my blog, that's German!!! But if you want to know something special I'll try to translate it for you!!!

Oh my it is so lovely and of course it holds such sweet memories as well. A great family heirloom to keep for future generations.
