Whew! The Olympics are now over and we had a great time being in Vancouver. You couldn't ask for better weather for getting about ( not so great for some events, though), better scenery, better hospitality, better organization or better FUN!
When Canada won the hockey game, the people went nuts and the streets were filled with cheering, yelling, happy Canucks!
My intention was to send pictures as we took them but my SIL didn't have the capability to download our pictures without a lot of stuff happening to her computer ( Don't make me go there...).
Our flight home is not until Thursday morning and we are more than ready to get home to our own beds, own life, own routine, and especially to our grandkids. The youngest ones ( twins) have started to say some words and we can't wait to hear them and to hold all of them.
We wouldn't want to give up the experience of the Olympics but there's no place like home...

Wish I could have been there too. Congratulations on you guys winning the Gold in Hockey. All the participants for all the countries are wonderful. But even though I am an American, my husband and I both have a real soft spot for Canada. We have spent so much time in BC and try to go back as often as possible. I have to admit sometimes I was rooting for you guys, even in hockey. I was glad to see you had the most gold. It is nice when you can do well in your own country.
