Thank you everyone for your help. I was able to recover my excel and thankfully some of my work was saved. The last hour I spent putting in information though is gone. I am sure when it asked me if I wanted to save the changes and I (wasn't looking very good out of my bifocals) hit NO, it deleted everything on the sheet I was working on.
It sure isn't any fun learning things the hard way :cry: However, I do appreciate all your info that helped me find and understand what happened.

I don't think you can get it back. I'm sorry. I used Excel every day in my job and I used to save things regularly to a jump drive as well as on the hard drive. Even so, I still had problems.
