I learned to crochet when I was in my teens. I could just look at something and create a pattern for it. When I was in college, I busted up my wrist really badly and couldn't crochet without pain.

So I learned how to quilt.

I do many other things
It comes on in fits mostly.
Right now I am into making ornaments. Got an idea, and have run with it. Been making 1 or 2 a day, just cause I can. Thats not quilting but sewing.
I will make clothes, purses, dog beds, just about anything that can come out of that sewing machine.
I will garden, build (a dog house, shelves, what ever comes on as a "good-idea")
I might get the gumption to refinish a floor or paint a room.
I don't think im very "crafty" I just have a compulsion, a need, to fix it, mend it, or make it.
