I love Bassets, have had several and lost them early to cancer. None of mine drooled. The last one was a rescue and she attacked my little Morky, had to return her. I love their smell, it's very distinctive, and I just love it.

Handsome boy!
We have a wheatable (wheaten mix), Oh so true! We know when Miya has been in the water bowl! Lol
In the 90's I had a huge hound mix "Dufus" what an incredibly smart, sweet guy! He was a true gentle giant. And thank goodness a dry mouth. He was well loved by many. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

I'm sure they will get on. I had an eight week puppy which due to hospital changed dates had to go into kennels for 2 days with my other 2 dogs within a week of coming home. The kennels put a camera in the pen they were all in and one big basket. The owner was amazed at how they slept together and let little one eat there food even though she was fed by the kennel staff with puppy food. This bond last forever..
