Thanks so much for posting this. Instead of paying almost $8 for one, I might give this a try.

I love these. I found some nice ones at the dollar store and started making them for everybody in my life, my mother, my sisters, my DILs, my nieces, even my great nephew who had moved into his first apartment. they are so easy, you can whip them up in no time.

Tartan, thanks. That's a really easy and nice way to make one.

I have made several of these for myself. . . .seasonal theme. They are so very handy.

Tartan I make mine almost exactly the same way, except I sew the gathered tea towel across the potholder about a third of the distance down the long side. That way I don't have a button on the top. The potholder folds over the oven handle and the button is on the front. Yep time to start looking for nice tea towels and matching potholders. Thanks for the reminder!

Thanks, Tartan. A few of these are definitely on my list for gifts--and for my own kitchen, too.

Cute, but one cannot actually use the potholder, right? Just for show? I make mine cutting towel in half, using piece of fabrice to make the collar for over the oven door with button or Velcro closure...I know there are tutes on youtube

Those are so pretty and useful.

Thank you for the directions.

What a great idea! And sooooo easy, look soooo nice! I see a trip to the Dollar Store in my future! In fact I am on my way to the Quilt Odyssey in Hershey, PA tomorrow (class with Bonnie Hunter on Sat) and may make some side trips to $ stores on the way....I am now on a mission! Thanks so much for sharing!
