I have a vinyl floor I want to do that to, but do not have the time yet.

Did you ever get this done on your floor? I'm curious how it turned out as I'm attempting this on the floor of my sewing room. My floor is plywood. Let us know, post some pics. Thank you

I painted my living room floor. You can buy floor paint. Primer/sealer is a must or you will get shading and paint won't stick well. I painted my floor to look like big tiles. Don't live there anymore or I would post pic. Painted floors can look really cool if done correctly.

After painting you will want to put several coats of non- yellowing clear floor poly to protect it. It will last for years. Heavy traffic areas will need attention every few years.
peace
