I would use Venmo over Paypal in this instance.
If the person decides they don't want it or aren't happy, they can file a complaint with PayPal. PayPal will then freeze the bank account you have tied to your PP account. (I have used it for decades with eBay but there I have pics and tracking information to back me up as a seller).
Venmo is a one time transfer from their bank account to yours. No backsies.
