Similar story. I bought 2 new seam rippers, and I knew they made it into a bag and into my grocery cart when I checked out. Hunted for them on and off for 2 days. Finally, I lifted a pile of scraps up. Underneath the scraps was a plastic shopping bag with - yup - the two seam rippers.

But, of course, never one where you are at any given moment!

Lately it seems everything is playing hide and seek with me. I bought several seam rippers and put them in every possible place but believe I need to buy a few more.

I keep seam rippers, measuring gauges, brushes for my machines and two of those extendable magnet gizmos in a coffee mug. When the mug begins to look rather empty I conduct a search and fill it back up again. That way I stand a chance of finding what I need most of the time.

I hate when I lose anything--not just the seam ripper! I end up going through my sewing supplies and then have to re-organize them. Time management problem?!?!?

Many times I have had to look for my glasses. I look and look and when I find them I put them on and think "good, now I can see better to find what I'm looking for!". I continue to search until I realize I've forgotten what I'm looking for! (Which of course is my glasses! ).

More often than I like to admit. At least if you NEVER found your seam ripper, it could have been replaced for a couple bucks. I lost my 6x24 inch quilt ruler a while back. After searching or 2 days, finally had to buy a new one...$20+. 3 weeks later I found the lost ruler (on the floor between 2 plastic storage bins). Grrr.

PPP
".I use the clip that is used for wires that run around your bases board on the side of my machine. the seam ripper fits it nicely. If you email me I will send a picture.

If it's round and it rolls, and I'm missing it, that means the cat has nocked it off the table and it could be hiding under any number of things.

How about my latest issue....I’m working on a Clara dress for a Nutcracker production. I’ve cut and built the bodice, but now the rest of the entire pattern is missing! REALLY? Can’t win.....too many projects, with a withering brain.
