My husband is the one that has the funny dreams. He use to wake me up to tell me about them. We've had a few laughs over his dreams.

Your dream is very interesting, so I did a little googling on what bears are supposed to symbolize in dreams. None of this is considered scientific, I'm sure, but I thought you might like to see what others have speculated about the meaning of a bear in a dream:

"You may find yourself in a threatening situation."

"The bear is symbolic of introspection and self-reflection. In mythology, it also refers to the great mother figure."

"They may actually symbolize something that one is having to "bear" or something one fears "bearing." ...Bear puns may also play with the sound of the word - as in feeling "bare" or exposed. This bareness may be freeing or it may feel like a space of vulnerability. The key to deciding which meaning works for you lies in the emotions that accompany your dream bear. "

The last one seemed to be the most convincing. It was from this site: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art13548.asp
Sorry, I lost track of the other sites, but they'd probably come up for anyone looking. Maybe I should have looked for trucks, rough rides and young friends in dream, too.

I've always liked the idea that dreams are a symbolic way our brains try to work things out. Maybe a lot gets accomplished when we're asleep. I know I sometimes wake up knowing where lost objects are that I could not find the night before.

I hope your DH does not retaliate with a noisy nightmare of his own. Mine does that now and then - scary! And then he tells me he was dreaming about basketball or some such.

I have heard that all the people in ones dream are oneself. Different aspects of oneself that one is in conflict with. I am not sure if that is true, unless it only applies to strangers in ones dreams. What I mean is sometimes my family members and friends are in my dreams and I know that they must be themselves, but other people in my dream that I don't recognize by appearance or feel, may be other aspects of me? Strange.

I do this too - started shaking in the bed and DH wakes me up. Of course he gets back at me by asking questions in his sleep and waking me up to answer them.

I dream like that too!!I started keeping a log of what I dream. Would you believe I have dreamt the same thing over a few times with different endings! It's amazing how our minds work! As long as hubby doesn't to upset you waking him up....Keep dreaming!!!! ;)

You two are such a perfect match. It's wonderful that he felt comfortable enough to get on here and tell the story. Sounds like you guys have the perfect marriage. Sense of humor goes a long way! Blessings to you both. Cheryl
