Both your guys are cute. I have no idea why cats love to lay like that, but I have 2 that do it. I figured you were going to show us a pic of Hank...all butt side up drinking from the toilet- I have one of those, its a lovely picture .

Here are pictures of my furry children. Bailey is our oldest and likes to sleep in my bag of batting scraps. Angie is our ply Maine Coon. Her annoying habit is scratching the corners of my furniture. Rocky is our 21# baby. He has a non stop appetite, but he is down 1 1/2#. The vet said to cut back his food a little bit and put a small amount of canned pumpkin in with his food. It must be working b/c he did lose that weight in 2 months. Angie learned to climb a ladder when we were painting. of course she couldn't get down so we had to make sure to put it down when we left the house. Fun times. We also have a water fountain for them and they drink a lot more water that way. Had one before that drank out of the bathroom faucet. rocky also lays on his back with his belly in the air. we have a picture of him sleeping that way before we even got him. Do you suppose it takes the weight off his tummy?

Before anyone accuses me of animal abuse, I've had him (rescued him) for 14 or more years. He has FIV (feline aids) and was in a cage at DD's vet hospital for 4 months before I said to bring him home. He's a neighborhood favorite and had claimed or rural road (I'd look out my window and see car brake lights come on when there was nothing to slow for - except Hank).
Never been sick a day, never lost an ounce either tho we are very careful with this "delicate" kitty's health. He doesn't just lie around. he "flows" over a surface!
Anyway, just had to share and his unique method of drinking!
...And what Clyde thinks of it!

My Mother's fur babies:
Mr Kitty is about 11 yrs old and 20 lbs. He lays down to eat and demands to be rubbbed then too.

SnoFlake or MadEye...depending on who you ask. Yes one eye is green and the other is pale blue.
