As having raised the hyper active child, I'm curious - what does having 4-5 lbs on their laps do?

My granddaughter was familar with the (field) corn bags but was given a frog with popcorn in it for wieght. Not realizing the difference she put it in the microwave and it did start popping. Mom had to sew up a broken seam. Gave them a good laugh when she said she would have a bed time snack as well as warm feet.

I did buy corn kernals but when the boys discovered sand and fiber-fill in my basement they never asked about popping the corn. I do plan on trying that at another time now that "Iwantasew" made it sound safe to try --- so we will --- next time. I posted in the "Pictures" section their wonderful creations. Myachi sacks stuffed with sand .... and a multitude of pillows stuffed with fiber-fill. It was a great day. They truly loved sewing!
