Thanks Quilt Mom. It was fun walking through the show, it was just a small one, should have walked through it 3 or 4 times. ha I hit two buffets this week, so guess that 1 lb was a winner after all huh? I need to stay on track this week though. I am up over that zero again, I was down under it two weeks ago and now here it is again. I go by zero's on the scale, that is my goal, to get past those darned zeros.

Hey TruPeach, thanks. But hey, no cheating, getting a personal trainer, ha. That is super, you will be thinner than us in no time at all! Good luck with that.

It is great that DD said she will do it but saying it and doing it are 2 different things. Honestly I wouldn't even have her help me however since she lost all memories of her past this will give her new memories, if she remembers them. We don't know what her long or short term memory will be, she still forgets from minute to minute. On top of that she is my down fall since she came home after she was injured and had to gain weight she thinks nothing of asking me to make pancakes at 2am and me eating with her. That is one of the reasons I gained so much weight. Plus with my disability and not being able to exercise and doing pilates you don't really lose weight. pilates tones you so you look thinner. And everyone who is exercising should remember that they are building muscle and muscle weighs more then fat. They will look thinner but not always weigh less.

This is so true! The whole muscle thing... but there are fat burning foods out there that are good for you... like salsa, avocado (its a good fat) and many others... There are also "super foods" that are rich in antioxidants and are very good for you I'll link that momentarily.

Some of those foods include: Avocado, Tomato, Garlic, Apples, Kiwi, Oats, and Honey.

These are extremely good for the body and your over all health.

Take a look at the site, but jsut pay attention to these tabs: The Superfoods and The Kitchen

Alu: Great advice, there is a science to eating the right foods to increase your metabolism. I have been reading a lot about it. And have tried some different things. I can't really say what is working, but something is. These types of foods make your resting calorie burn rate work faster. Thanks for the site.

At my Weight Watchers Meeting the other night, the leader pointed out that a pound of fat weighs one pound, and a pound of muscle also weighs one pound. It is just that muscle is more dense. More muscle helps to burn fat faster. Once you start to build muscle, the fat will start to come off easier. It is the getting going that can be tough. But then that's what we are here for.

I LOVE SUNDAYS BECAUSE..............it's my cheat day. I don't have breakfast I wait and make brunch. Today I had blueberry pancakes dripping in butter and maple syrup. Real maple syrup not that fake stuff labled as pancake syrup. As a side I has sausages along with a huge mug of tea with sugar and 1/2 and 1/2, nice and fattening. yummmmmmmmmmo. Tomorrow I get weighed. :-D :-D :-D

I feel great today!

I love the feeling of my clothes getting looser. I am nearing a size 16. I will have to work hard but I hope in another week they will fit comfortable :D :D
Sometimes I have to measure my progress that way instead of by the scales.

That is great your cloths are getting looser on you.   I know what you mean yesterday I put on a pair of pants only to find out they were swimming on me. They were cotton knit and I had to pull them up all day they kept falling down. I actually should have changed because it was annoying I rolled over the top like my DD does with sweats but even that didn't help. They are in the wash and will go to the homeless shelter.

WE ARE ALL DOING SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D :-D :-D

I didn't loose any weight, but I did the eliptical 2x this week, walked the mall for many hours w/gd & took a 1hr walk today... I ate more veggies & more fruit this week as well.

Here's a hearty, healthy recipe for you all to try. If your on WW they are worth 3 points.

6 red potatoes (bake or microwave) then cut into 1/4" slices

In a bowl mix:
1c skim or low fat ricotta
2 eggs
salt, pepper to taste
pinch or so of parsley
pinch of orageno

Other ingredients needed:
9oz spinach (steam until slightly wilted)
1c low fat shredded cheddar cheese
3 slc canadian bacon (quartered)

In a big muffin, muffin pan (lined w/those paper thingies)
In each well, layer potatoe, 2 tbls ricotta mix, bid dab of spinach, piece of canadian bacon, sprinkle shredded cheese. Repeat till muffin cups are full. Sprinkle rest of shredded cheese.

Cook 400 for 40-45 mins or until cheese is crispy brown.

YUMMY, YUMMY, IN MY TUMMY!!!!
