Here is proof that you are probably right when you say that I might be a little OCD. Not that it is such a bad thing. You must realize there are only two of us in the house, and no kids to raise, or aged parents to care for. What you will see below is my pride and joy. Our Cookstove. But better yet the copper cookware that we use daily and that I am responsible for maintaining in a proper degree of luster. I agreed to keep them clean and shiny if she would allow me to buy them. Not only do they look good, but she now realizes that they are wonderful to cook with. The stove is all electric with a convection oven and is made by the same company that makes a similar model of wood burning cookstove. They use a lot of the same castings and fit European electric burners into the top. I wish we had the room for the exact same model and color of wood burning stove in the kitchen. We used to have one in a cabin we had out in California, and I used to love cooking on it. I made pancakes for breakfast on it. Yum Yum!

That is flippin' awesome!!!!!!

Beautiful stove and pots. And just what exactly is wrong with being organized (laughter). Thank you for sharing.
|
That is awesome
|
Beautiful - you can come over and be OCD at my house anytime!
|
WOW!!!!!!! Does it take a lot of elbow grease to keep it shining like that? Never saw a stove like that with all the pots and pans, too.
|
I'm drooling
Where did you get your stove. I LOVE it By the way love your thread organizor too. When you get tired of them and need to retire them - I can think of a good place to send both of them. LOL |
My style is "modern", but I think that is beautiful!!
|
I want it!
|
beautiful

I can only hope my kitchen would be half that organized. Everytime someone else puts the dishes away I have to go on a scavanger hunt.
I love the stove. Is it a reproduction or a refurbish of an old one. My great uncle Howard cooked on an old wood stove that had belonged to his parents. I wish I had appreciated it all those years ago. I do know I was always facinated by cooking on a wood stove. |
That is an enviable stove and cookware. There is nothing wrong with being organized. I find I can get a lot more done if I have a routine and am organized.
|
Is that an Elmira? I have coveted one for years.
|
Beautiful

Wow! Looks great! What do you use to keep the copper clean? We have a large, built in copper light cover between the kitchen and dingin room that could use a serious cleaning, but I am not sure what to use to do the cleaning without damaging it.

Love your kitchen and stove!! My Mom loved cooking on a wood burning stove! My aunt still lived in the homeplace and Momma would cook dinner there everday. Food just tasted so much better.

Oh, my, did that instantly take me back to Grandma's old iron stove!!! Small difference, our oven was on the right side of it. I can see it in my mind's eye, and the heat that came off it.
What a lovely thing this is. I can see why you love cooking on it. |
beautiful stove and copper cookware!!!
|
That would look great in my home too... I have the SAME woodwork......
Maybe it could be in the will???? lol lol lol lol |

I absolutely love copper cookware, but dont have any - its a powerful lot of work. My hubs 1 GM had a huge cast iron cookstove in her kitchen. She cooked on one forever and her family finally got electricity on the farm, so they talked her into getting an electric stove, which she hated , and yrs later she saw an auction listing and made her hubs go half way across the state to get another cast iron stove-
She really could cook with it, too, she made the best baked things. The rest of us using the kitchen always stuck w/ the "modern" stove and stove top. sharet |
wow

Ok, color me jealous.

That is beautiful. I used to tell my boys when they had to learn housekeeping so they could later take care of themselves "It isn't clean if it doesn't shine." It looks like you would agree with that. It is wonderful that you cook, too. :)

Wow stunning
