I am such a big fan of Hallmark sappy movies, lol! Especially the holiday ones. Kids groan because they know what Mom will be watching tonight! Anyone else love them?

bkb 11-28-2010 05:48 AM

Sam Elliot is in a hallmark movie tonight! Yes, I like the sentimental movies.

erstan947 11-28-2010 05:49 AM

I usually catch them all, sometimes more than once or twice!:)

CarrieAnne 11-28-2010 05:52 AM

Oh, really? Sam Elliot? I LOVE his voice!

dream56 11-28-2010 05:52 AM

Yes = love them all

ptquilts 11-28-2010 06:06 AM

I don't usually watch them although I get very teary at sentimental mush or just about anything emotional.
Five years ago, right after DH had a stroke, we were watching one, about a lady who goes back to her small town and meets an old flame.
A common post-stroke symptom is emotional lability - tears and laughter come very easily and at odd times. DH had this for a while.
At the end of the movie, the big emotional scene where he tells her he has always loved her, etc., DH and I are both tearing up, we looked at each other and cracked up laughing, cause it was so sappy and yet we couldn't help it.

Missysgottohelp 11-28-2010 06:11 AM

Yes and I'm must admit I've sat and watched some of them twice back to back. And I will sit and listen to Sam Elliot tonight. I love his voice.

cjomomma 11-28-2010 06:16 AM

OH!!!!YES!!!! Sometimes my DD will sit down and watch them with me. When we went to the black Friday sale at wm and she found The Note Book movie for $1.96 and said you have to get this 1. This came from a girl who likes vampire and horror movies. I wish I could find the Love Song movies, they are my favorite.

magpie 11-28-2010 06:21 AM

Yep, watch them too. DH and I both tear up and do the same thing. But they're more entertaining than anything else on TV these days.

NauDeeGal 11-28-2010 06:22 AM

I really like the Hallmark channel thru the year but especially like it during the holiday movies. Catch the sentimental movies as often as possible. A real sap here.

sewnsewer2 11-28-2010 06:24 AM

Me too! And I try to watch as many of the Christmas ones as possible, but love all of them.

sewmuchmore 11-28-2010 06:26 AM

Oh yes I love them!!! Had to give up dish network, so now we get a Hallmark once a while on tv. I have bought a few of the moives on sale at Walmart. does that tell you how much I love them.

Oh no!!!! The Notebook, watch it over and over again! Cry and laugh at the same time. Such a good movie and Bridges of Madison County...

cherylynne 11-28-2010 06:51 AM

Oh, thanks for reminding me. I saw it advertised last week. I don't really remember what it is supposed to be about, but I always enjoy them.

Maiziedo 11-28-2010 06:51 AM

Yes, the Christmas ones are my favorites. Watch as many as I can.

bgullett 11-28-2010 06:51 AM

Love Hallmark channel. Get the kleenex box handy and blanket and a good capaccino!

amandasgramma 11-28-2010 07:17 AM

Without a doubt, my favorite time of the year to watch TV -- because of the Hallmark movies!! I don't care how many times I've watched them!!!!! And yes, Sam Elliott on tonight.....it's been too long since we've seen him!!!!

Maride 11-28-2010 08:02 AM

I love them. I just hate when the movie is almost finished and Jorge all of a sudden is interested and wants to know what happened from the beginning. I always give him the same answer: Wait until they show it again. I will not tell you the whole story when there are only 5 minutes left.

Aunt Fanny 11-28-2010 08:08 AM

Guilty!!!

Conniequilts 11-28-2010 08:25 AM

Yes and Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network! Love great sappy movies :)

Talk2late 11-28-2010 08:40 AM

These channels make it easy to stay home and have a great weekend of sewing!!

Sadiemae 11-28-2010 08:56 AM

I love these movies.

dellareya 11-28-2010 09:59 AM

The only thing better then watching Sam Elliot in a good movie is if there are lots of quilts to also see in the movie.

maryb119 11-28-2010 10:22 AM

I like the Halmark movies, too. One of my favorites is Sarah, Plain and Tall. Its the first in a series of three movines about a mail order bride who goes west. Glenn Close plays Sarah.

Jeanniejo 11-28-2010 10:25 AM

Mee too !!! But they know that if Momma isn't happy, nobody's happy. They really don't want to push it this time of year.

mrspete 11-28-2010 10:30 AM

mmmhummmm, I get me a pile of scraps and a lap board and I cut little pieces as I watch.....well they are actually crumbs, but I trim them to the typical 1.5" or 2" and enjoy Hallmark movies. And yes tonight it will be a treat!

Blessings, Ruth

CarrieAnne 11-28-2010 10:32 AM

Ruth, I do the same thing. Or crochet!

I love the Hallmark movies!! We have a family friend (My sister's godson) that is an actor, (Dylan McLaughlin) one of my favorite Hallmark movies is "You've Got a Friend", with John Schnider and Dylan...
Dylan's done several movies/tv shows, but that one is my favorite! :)

ncsewer 11-28-2010 11:09 AM

Me too. They do a great job of keeping "nice " movies on there. I'm with you all and I laugh, then cry all the way through them.

annyroony2 11-28-2010 11:18 AM

Yes, I love the Hallmark channel!!

TN Donna 11-28-2010 11:29 AM

I love Hallmark movies. I watch them all year and expecially at Christmas. I also like the ones made off the Christian novels by Janet Oke.

Love Hallmark channel ever since my kids were small.

Snorky Lvs2Quilt 11-28-2010 01:52 PM

Love the Hallmark channel all year, but ESPECIALLY during the holidays.

mamaw 11-28-2010 05:19 PM

I always try to see the Hallmark movies....tonite I will be DVRing it due to the Colts/Chargers game. But, I can watch it in peace and quiet tomorrow evening while DH is at a board meeting.

Blue Bell 11-28-2010 05:51 PM

My neighbor told me that the person that wrote the story comes from Rhode Island. I will be watching.

Blue Bell/from Rhode Island

I have been off work for 4 days and my TV has been on the Hallmark Channel at least 90% of the time. Most of the movies I have seen several times in past years and some I have watched (or listened to) several times this year. LOL! Actually, I have just a handful of channels that I routinely check when looking for something to watch. The Hallmark Channel is one of them year round. I'm just a sap for sappy movies!
