Jerry S. Eicher writes Amish novels also. I have read three of the books.

I would highly recommend you read that particular series by Wanda Brunstetter who wrote The Storekeeper's Daughter. I don't read alot of Amish books, but that one is very good. My sister always liked Beverly Lewis along with lots of others that have already been mentioned.

There are many, many Amish novels. It seems everybody is writing about the Amish. Beverly Lewis is probably the most realistic.

I love all of Beverly Lewis's books. She is an excellent writer of amish stories! I look amish books and books I may be interested in on amazon than look them up at my library to see if they have them.

Oh my heavens ! I picked up a book about age 7, fell in love with reading and have about 2-3 going at all times. Your public library can be your next best friend. The librarians are educated to help you, please ask them questions. Good Luck with your reading.

Cindy Woodsmall is a great Amish writer. Her books are page-turners.I also like Earlene Fowler, Sandra Dallas, and the Elm Creek Series. The older books in this series are so much better than the last three. They were boring and hard to keep me into the storyline.

f

owler, Sandra Dallas and The Elm Creek series. I did not like Union Quilters,Aloha Quilt or the Wedding Quilt. The older books in the series were soooooo much better.

Beverly Lewis is an author who grew up in Amish country. She wrote a trilogy that I just loved reading. I believe the first novel in the set was "The Crossroads". You read that one and you can't stop...you'll buy the other two.
Enjoy...Glory
