I can definitely relate. I told someone "how you been you old fat thing" thinking it was my friend with whom I was constantly fretting about how overweight we were. It was not my friend.

Once, years ago with my boyfriend at the time and his brother were walking to the shops, and I stopped to get a stone out of my shoe, then ran up behind them, not realizing they had swapped sides and pinched my "boyfriend" on the butt. Yep, you guessed it, it was his brother Ipinched. They never let me live it down.
