changing threads on "regular" sewing machine

when it goes well, it probably takes less than a minute to change the threads on one of my "regular" machines - but i just do not like th change the threads - even when i know i won' t use black thread to fix that open seam on a white blouse.

do you have any things that are really "easy" to do - but for whatever reason, you do not like to do them?

:)I keep one machine with light thread and one machine with dark thread so I am always ready for a quick repair.

I have a bad habit of not changing needles and rotary blades. It's silly to be so cheap when I'm not at all cheap in most other ways!

I think a common 'thread' here is changing rotary blades

dusting was my job as a child. it's quite easy but i don't like to do it, so i don't do it often

Hey, Bear, if your needle doesn't need to be changed, you can cut the old thread by the spool and tie a simple tight square knot of the new thread and just pull the whole thing through! So says the vision challenged gal :)

I have lots of things that I put off doing. Dishes is probably the biggest and most noticeable one. But this morning I got up, emptied the sink and got the dishwasher going. I don't know why I let them stack up in the sink, I don't know why I don't just run the dishwasher half full, but I know I pretty much always have dirty dishes to contend with.

But with what Kalama said, I'm going to make it my goal this week to change all three of my rotary cutter blades. They all need it. They all have those "ticks" where a single thread doesn't get cut.

You're lucky you have a dishwasher. I ALWAYS have dirty dishes in my sink.
