Barkeeper's Helper (or friend or whatever it's called)

Mine are stainless from HSN. Not expensive but they still look like new. I use Barkeepers Friend and dry them with a towel.

Shaklee's Easy Off - (Anyway, I think that's what it's called)

It is a pink paste that comes in a small plastic covered container.

I use Dawn dish liquid. Rub a coat of Dawn all over the greasy pot or pan, let set several hours even overnight. Then wash is hot water. I had a sheet cake pan that was black (used it to cook ribs) on the outside, I coated it with Dawn let set then washed it , looks almost new. Cheaper than replacing pan.

Thanks for all the advice. I do want to try and clean it before tossing it.

I use SOS every now and then; I think my mom (who had copper bottoms) used salt and red wine vinegar.

I've used Cameo Cleanser - you can get it just about anyway. It's fantastic especially on Stainless Steel!

I have another question, what do you use on Hard-Anodized items?

After posting this thread, I looked into my kitchenware and found two sets. One is SS and the other is Hard-Anodized.
