I have used Dawn to get makeup and lipstick stains out of pageant dresses. Works great!

Since this is about stains, how do you get gel ink out of a 100% cotton slipcover. I've used Grandmas spot remover, vinegar, shout, alcohol and dawn. It's faded some but still there.

Every stain-new and very old come out with Zout. When we were trucking and got 5th wheel grease on our clothes-Zout got it out.

Hmm, I do have a jar of PB in my cabinet. I keep it for the grandbabies cause I don't eat it. Will give it a try.

I have rarely had a stain of any kind the Amyway's LOC did not remove with no harm to the fabric. I put a very little of LOC on then stain, rub it in with an old tooth brush and toss in the washer. Usually cold water and check it before putting it in the dryer. Rarely have I had to retreat the stain.

Are you able to get Ivory bar soap(not liquid)? For many, many years I have used it to remove stains. You wet the item with water, rub with the bar of soap and wash as usual. You can leave the soap in the item and just wait to wash. It doesn't hurt the item to have the soap dry on it. Takes out just about any stain, including ballpoint ink and is especially good on grease. Occasionally you have to use it twice to fully get a stain out.

When I was a kid and got bicycle chain grease on clothes she just rubbed with solid Crisco and it always worked....go figure. I use Clorox stain fighter and color booster and swear by it. It comes in a dark blue bottle. Rub it in , let sit and then just wash.

Does hair spray remove ink? I remember hearing somewhere it worked.

I find that Dawn original works wonders on grease stains and other stains... IF you have not put in the dryer...
