I am just wondering if any one could help me with a couple of stains that my daughter has on her new very expensive Ralph Lauren T-shirt. She had been to the Australian Tennis Open for the day and she must of leant againt some thing and has now several lines of grease on the front of T - Shirt. At lunch time she dropped some tomato sauce (ketchup) on the front as well. Not a successful day for her or her T-Shirt. I have tried to remove the stains and then washed it but it stills has some stain residue left on both stains. The fabric is made of 100% cotton.
Would anyone have any idea of removing the remaining stains? I would be very grateful

I use LAs Totally Awsome from the dollar store. It gets it all out.

I hope you didn't dry it in high heat. That would really set the stains and make them harder to get out.

But I'm sure someone on this board can come up with something.

I get blood stains out with peroxide, and sometimes with plain cold water and soap. Or sometimes simply with meat tenderizer..do they still have stuff like this? Then there's Oxyclean, and sometimes just plain old bleach, unless the label says not to use it.

After you try whatever others suggest and should there be some stains left, (NO HOT WATER OR HEAT) then I'd suggest you take it to the dry cleaner.

Make DD pay for her next shirt, I found through experience that it got through my hard headed kids' wallets to their brains. Much faster than my talking to them in loud tones.

I use oxy or a bleach pen if its a white shirt.

That Awesome from the Dollar Store really works well. But you could also try mixing the Oxyclean into a paste, rubbing in on fairly thick and just let it dry overnight. Hopefully it will come out for you. Good luck!

There is a product that Hancock's sells called Grandma's Secret Spot Remover. Eleanor Burns also advertises it on her television show. You may have to use it more than once but it does seem to work on stains.

I have used Dawn dish soap. I would only air dry until you know the stain.

...until you know the stain is gone.

Sard wonder soap is excellent...not the spray on - but the bar soap. Works on grease, biro and all kinds of stuff.

grease is really hard to remove good luck!
