I have used WD-40 to get out grease stains. It loosens the grease from the fibers. Coke will also get out a lot of stains.
I have had good luck using the Tide to go stain stick pens to get out tomato stains. Not sure why it works, but it does. If you can't buy oxyclean, you can make it. Just google how to make oxyclean or oxiclean. |
This sounds crazy, but I use peanut butter to get stains out.
My DIL told me about it, and it works. It also gets the glue residue off bottle and jars. If you've tried all of the other things and they haven't worked - what have you got to lose by trying the pb method. |
To remove those black grease stains just rub some shortening (Crisco) on it, I do with a used toothbrush to make sure that it gets into the fibers, Let it rest for about half an hour. Them wash it with a detergent in hot water. The stains disappeared every time I did it. My son used to be a car mechanic that gave me plenty of practice!

I have good results with just rubbing the stain with a bar of Ivory soap before washing.

I have always had luck with using a 1/4 cup of Dawn original and Biz and let it soak a couple of days in a bucket of water.
Good Luck! Biz and Shout It Out has always worked for me with the boys ball stained clothes. |
I would wet the spots then spray with Aqua net hairspray and rub using a bar of soap. repeat. good luck.

My X's new wife washes his greasy shirts in Coca Cola and says all the grease come out. He is a mechanic.

Oxyclean is the best i think i use it on my dh's work clothes that has motor grease and oil all over it and it comes out clean

Quilt soap from the lqs or Orvus Paste from the local grain elevator much cheaper then the lqs. I have had a lot of luck with it and it lasts a very long time. I am not sure but if you have a Tractor Supply store in your area you might want to check there. It is the same thing and comes in a large plastic container probably ten times more than what you get at the lqs and it runs about $19.00. It is used by farmers to wash horses and sheep from what I understand but is the same thing when you read the label.
