Small world! I'm in Palm Valley!! The forecast for 70 today..don't think it made it..lol

I Don't want to be a smart but it is 79 here in AZ on my patio and the Daffodils are in bloom. But! This summer it can get 118 or so.:o

Now you know why I moved away from Michigan. Too cold for too long. It gets cold here in north central Texas but the winter is usually over in March. Tonight we have a bad cold front moving in and my flowers had started to bud out. No flowering shrub again this year.

Yep really cold here. 71 degrees today with lots of sunshine. Sorry ladies/gents about your weather. I grew up in the cold and don't think I would survive now. It will be getting colder here and rainy tomorrow but it will only last a day or two. Keep safe and warm.

I'm in central Michigan & it has been just bitter cold. The wind is down now but still very cold. They say for the next 3 days

Today and tomorrow it is supposed to be bad -30* below WC. I'm staying in the house, not going anywhere, keeping nice and warm and tie down a quilt. . Edie

2 days ago we woke to -47 Celsius & it's been like that for a few days now. We also have about 5 feet of snow in our yard & we're running out of room for it. We won't see spring for at least 6 weeks or more !!! Good thing I have my quilting to keep me sane !!! Lol.
I live in Northern Ontario, Canada which is not for the feint of heart. We are a hearty bunch here.

Roberta 02-17-2015 06:59 AM

It just warmed up to zero degrees. It was -9 when we woke up. At least the wind isn't blowing today, so far anyway.

Montana is known for its snow and cold. We have not had much snow this month and it is supposed to be near 50 here today.

Stitchnripper 02-17-2015 08:01 AM

Whining from Baton Rouge where itis 33. I know I shouldn't complain but I am cold!!

AZ Jane 02-17-2015 08:59 AM

Why I live in AZ! No snowbirds please, if you can't handle the snow, you won't be able to handle the heat!!! LOL, yes, it is in the high 70's and low 80's!!

crafty pat 02-17-2015 09:45 AM

We have had beautiful weather in the 70's for a few days until it hit 33 last night. It is cold today and the Red Bud trees are flowering as of two days ago. I sure feel for you in the cold snow. I hope Spring arrives for you all soon.

Catlady 02-17-2015 12:29 PM

Here in Northern Illinois we're having a heat wave. It actually made it up to 20 by noon today. Its been in the single digits
for the last few days.

Long Island has record breaking temperatures. Im safe and warm and retired!

nwm50 02-17-2015 02:54 PM

Well its cold to me but then again...I've been in Puerto Rico last 5 days!! Where it's been 75-80 degrees and had to sleep with a fan blowing on me. Well not today, it's 50, raining and windy.

Luv Quilts and Cats 02-17-2015 03:28 PM

It was 4 below when I got up this morning in NH. No wind. We have had wind and windchills for the last 3 weeks or so. And snow. Don't forget the snow! We have so much I can't see when I back out of the driveway. I would say there's a good 5 feet of snow received since January 27th. I hear Boston, which has been really hard hit, has got 9 feet! I sure hope we don't get much rain this spring. Could be a problem. We did have a wind chill one day of 30 below zero here. And that's the coldest I have seen!

*** Yep, even in the supposedly Sunny South.
***
*** We received 2" of ice late yesterday and last night.
***
*** Another storm is coming on Wednesday and
*** we are suppose to be only 8 degrees on Wednesday night.

It was in the 30's today in Western Colorado with wind!!

madamekelly 02-17-2015 08:15 PM

For the first time, for as long as I can remember, we had a sunny day for my birthday! It was clear and cold, but the sun was shining! Most years I either get soggy snow or drizzling rain for my birthday, so this is a real treat! I hope the rest of you stay safe and warm until spring gets here!

We have a nice guest room if anyone needs to come thaw out a little.
