I read an article about this guy and his wife. They have built a slightly larger house, as they now have a child or two and needed a little more room. They did live in this home until they had children.

The word claustrophobia comes to mind.

Otterhound 12-23-2010 05:01 PM

The small house would be great to live in, not much cleaning and sure would not have anything extra. BUT, I would need another building for my sewing and hobbies, perhaps 20 x 40.

crankygran 12-23-2010 05:11 PM

Where would I put my sewing gear?

juneayerza 12-23-2010 05:52 PM

NO WAY!

svenskaflicka1 12-23-2010 06:57 PM

only if there was a "house next door" for the stash and machine....

Cassews 12-23-2010 07:25 PM

my thought exactly, I can't do small spaces. anyway where would I do my quilting?

Dee 12-23-2010 09:38 PM

I couldn't fit anything in there. Also, too close of a space for me.

Judie 12-23-2010 11:03 PM

Nope, couldn't do it.. I need my stuff to be sane. I need my stuff to be happy! and besides, I need my husband, and there isn't room for another person in his tiny home.. Did you notice, 10 years he's been living in there.. and no wife.. no live in roomie.. Wonder if he's figured that out?

But, I would love that tiny house for a backyard play house for my sweet grandbabies!! Wouldn't that be cool??

Not any more! When DH and I got married we lived in a travel trailer.

QuiltinPaws 12-23-2010 11:37 PM

Looks like those Tumbleweeds houses that are VERY small.

Crabby Patty 12-23-2010 11:38 PM

Just think you could make a king size quilt and have wall-to-wall carpeting.heehee. I think I'll pass on that although it would make a nice size out-house. I can remember having those. Boy do I like my indoor plumbing. Winter sucks.

BellaBoo 12-24-2010 12:11 AM

It would get very old very fast for me. I would have to park it on the beach or in in some high tourist activity area so I wouldn't get bored. Now I would have loved to have one for each of my teenagers when they were home.

It would be an adventure and force us to GET OUTSIDE! It has wheels, so it is movable - heck, you could live in a parking lot! nawwwwwwwwwwww. Hey, what about living in that house, and getting one of those nice sheds at Lowe;s JUST FOR sewing equipment? That would work!

I'm with you stitchinwitch

Bonbonary 12-24-2010 08:21 PM

LOL. That table might fit tiny dishes for four, but where do the people sit?

mayday 12-27-2010 10:34 AM

After this Christmas, I may order two of these for that very purpose!!

It is an interesting concept. I like the idea of alternative homes, if that suits. I have often thought I wouldn't mind living in a converted railway carriage (with a studio nearby of course).

It could be a good way for someone just starting out, at least the finances would be manageable and then you could move up if and when your lifestyle changed.

Personally I need a little more room, but an earthship or a strawbale would be fantastic....just have to get the husband to agree!
