Current responses to "old posts"

Found almost a dozen of those this morning.....I have to start looking more carefully at the original post date.

I've noticed this too. Not fair to those recent posters to fined theirs is back 2 - 3 pages

It has also confused me lately, although I don't mind seeing the old pictures!

same here. don't know how old posts are looked up. perhaps they don't show the date in certain ways people use the forum. got me!

Sometimes the topic just catches the readers' attention.

I always scroll to bottom of main page and click 'archive". Then I see the posts as they come in.

No need to be the curmudgeon hallway monitors. People can read and respond to any post.

I think that's it bear. Some people (particularly new posters) may be lookinig for something specific and post to the thread not realizing its several years old

ha, ha. no body is a curmudgeon. we just wondered how it happens. some sort of searching or what ever. just saw several in pictures. makes a boring read unless someone posts something really new to the subject.

Sometimes there's not a lot of new activity and we end up in the older posts. Once one person responds, others follow and old threads are revived. It might help if the date of the post was shown on the first page, not just when you open it.
