The commercials that really truly bother me are the ones for medical drugs!!
They say, take this drug for your problem BUT STOP using it if it CAUSES: ( I've counted up to 15 side effects on some!).

I am a real old fashioned and old time Christian and GOOD GOSH, it seems to me that just about EVERY thing we're shown or told leads to Sex and Sexuality! No apologies, they're awful and misleading.

There are many things I would never buy because I hate their commercials. I'd also like to go back to the time when personal products are not advertised. The ED commercials are also not necessary. At least half of the males in the world must have the affliction to do that much advertising.

I haven't seen a cute commercial that made me want to run right out and buy their product since the 50's. Since then they've all been an insult to my intelligence. And what's with all the disgusting commercials for Viagra, Extends,Luvs, etc. during prime time. Just about ready to get rid of cable TV and go back to radio.

The commercial I like the best is the one with the big older black car doing wheelies on the salt flat. The door opens and old man shoes show first as he gets out. Then the passenger door opens and old lady shoes get out and as the old woman walks around to the driver's side, she says 'I'll get this one old man!". It is for Bridgestone tires! That is my husband and me in another 30 years. LOL

I think she should have left long ago. He really sounds dumb.

The doctors do hate for the patients to ask for drugs by name (advertised ones cost more) than the generic ones besides and often the people do not need the ones that they ask for anyway because they are not able to diagnose the problem or solution.
The drug companies want you to ask for theirs by name so that you will buy more of theirs. When I need a product, I find out what the active ingredient is on the advertised product, and find the generic version. Saves me about 1/2 of the cost that way.

We hate these ED commercials too - c'mon, really ? Men who have this know and so do their wives and don't need it broadcast to the world...My husband thinks the bathtub bit is a hoot - he'll call out to wherever I am in the house when he sees them - "tubs, honey"...it just makes us laugh at how dumb some stuff is....

ED happens to just about every man as he gets older. In the past, there just wasn't much to do about it. It is ESPECIALLY common in men who take the drugs for HIGH blood pressure which is just about all older men! The mechanism that makes them work effects all the blood vessels so that raising their hands over their heads (above the level of the heart) makes all the blood drain out and something as simple as changing a light bulb is much harder if it takes more than 5 minutes to remove light fixture etc.
Of course, the drug companies are aware of the medical problems of guys (since the majority are guys)! :hunf:

I have twins and both are girls and there was bit of a size difference for the first 6 months or so and I used to get all the time, "Are they both yours"? I wanted to reply yes stupid who in their right mind would bring someone else's baby with them to the grocery store.

Sometimes people just don't think. And lots of people don't really know much about twins, they just assume most are identical when really most are not.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the e-trade with the baby commercials. Too funny.
