I didn't til I got my new phone. DD is a text nut. That's the only way she uses her phone.

No texting, no Tweeting, no Facebook!

NO, I don't.
To me it defeats the original purpose
for a phone (they are for talking).

I have one good friend who has problems talking at times because of epilepsy but, otherwise, I am with you on this. I find texting to be incredibly annoying. If it is too much trouble to pick up the phone and take the time to speak to me in person, forget it.

My friends all live in other states so now I don't have to worry about long distance bills. Have I said...love it. :-)

My roommate has a $50 a month plan with everything - phone, texting, internet, pictures...with boost mobile. He's trying to convince me to get it...but I just don't think I'll use it all.

My current plan is $34 + taxes thru sprint for a single phone (talk only) line....it has 400 minutes available and I use about 50 minutes a month...so I'm not hurting to upgrade or anything.

I do. The first time was when our daughter text me from Mexico and I had no clue how to respond. But when your daughter is in a foreign country, you teach yourself real fast. I have been texting ever since.
