Agree with the comments about using according to the directions...safe as can be. Have used them for 60 years with out any problem. I use slow cooker too, but to much blending of flavors and mushy texture with that method on some recipes...pressure cooker not so much..

I have used a pressure cooker in every way possible and love the results If you put the lid on properly you shouldn’t have any problem with it popping off. Pressure cookers have a safety valve that will pop out if the pressure gets out of range. Most all accidents with a pressure cooker are because the lids were not properly locked on.
