You all know how many beautiful quilts there are daily on this board. I have this habit of saving the pics of the quilts I really love and put them in a folder and then put that group of pics in my windows photo slide show screen saver and wow you guys give such a wonderful slide show to watch when Im feelin bad and cant get out .......thank you all so much for the hours of beautiful watching .... you and your quilts have made the days of chemo and radiation so much easier.

ssnare 05-12-2011 07:31 PM

I didn't take pictures of the quilts for several years (yes I know, dumb) however, now I do. It is fun to look at them.

I take pictures of all the quilts I make and also of all the quilts I have quilted for other people. Just recently I counted all those I quilted for others and counted 230, sure is nice to look back and remember how pretty those were .

laughingquilter 05-13-2011 06:21 AM

What a great idea! Good luck with your chemo and it's great that you've found something that you can just sit back and enjoy while going through all of this. I save pictures for my "someday" file - I think using them as a screensaver is an awesome way to enjoy them.

Quiltbeagle 05-13-2011 06:27 AM

I do that sometimes. I love eye candy! Sending good thoughts and hope for your complete recovery.

betty jo 05-13-2011 08:01 AM

There are sooo many beautiful quilts on the site, but I wish everyone would tell the name of the quilt or where he/she got the pattern. I don't know why my replies never get answered as I have asked several quilters what the name is and never hear back from anyone. A lady was looking for a particular quilt magazine and I had it and wrote to her and said she could have it free, just postage, and never heard back from her either. Any suggestions what I'm doing wrong that I don't get replies?? Betty Jo in Tn.

penski 05-13-2011 08:29 AM

i have all of mine in my favorites !! wow i hope there is a lot of space in favorites because i have a lot of them !!
i hope you get to feeling better soon

Kappy 05-13-2011 08:32 AM

I do save the quilt pictures....to act as inspiration as I am not nearly on the same ability scale as a lot of you are, but I have also used them as backgrounds for my digital scrapbook page, I use them with a velum overlay. add a picture, some embellishments, and journaling...and there you have a page. Or I use the colors that are in the quilt blocks and pick out paper colors that match etc. It's a never ending process!!!

trolleystation 05-13-2011 09:04 AM

Prayers to you. My grandson is coming here for the summer and has promised to teach me how to post. I am computer savvy, but have trouble with posting and attachments. I too, spent last summer recovering from ankle surgery and the high point of each day was checking the QB pictures. This is a wonderful site. Full of ideas, tips and wonderful pictures. I wish you good health Soon.

yes, I do save AND print pictures of quilts I like for future projects. I save the prints in a big binder that I can flip thru, sometimes for the fun of it & sometimes for inspiration.
