re: Your work is beautiful. I also "smocked" at one time..for my now 31 yr old daughter. I have a grand daughter but my dd said she wouldn't need any of the old fashioned stuff.. Sad face here. I also did bonnets, nightgowns, dresses and Christmas ornament. AND at one time I was making custom Bridal garters. Those were really fun.
Maybe future generations will want to wear them. |
Wow! Are you sure your name isn't "Polly Flinders"? I use to buy that brand for my girls. You did beautiful work.
Those are stunning! And who knows, there may be girls down the road that will be able to wear them!
Truly heirloom quality work! |
I love making little girl clothes, never smocked but admire it greatly, those are just adorable!
those are just beautiful! I would be afraid to touch them--they look so delicate--what beautiful work! You should be teaching!
Wow...I would love to beable to make those for my graddaughter. They are all so beautiful!
OMGsh! These are so beautiful! You need to have one of them framed in a sealed shadow box frame to keep in your sewing area. It's wonderful that your sister kept such care of them. They are a treasure!
Very special little dresses. I love them. She will never find more like these.
What beautiful work you did and your sister is obviously proud of it too
oh my gosh! I have always loved smocking!
I never did any for my 3 dd's, bc I didn't know how back then. These are such beautiful treasures and in such pristine condition. You can tell they were and still are well loved. What a precious picture of your niece wearing one. This is such a beautiful story, it brings a tear. How gorgeous! :) |
