Pretty soon FedEx will be the rule.

Can you post a link to where it actually says that on the USPS.com site? Because I've never, ever found it.

They keep quoting it but I haven't seen it in the DMM.

Also, the new Flat Rate BUBBLE envelopes are a bit bigger than the FRE paper ones. I don't know if they're cracking down on those as well since it's not made for documents.
They cost the same.

Thanks.

They have FR bubble envelopes :!: :?: :?

haha. I have sent DOCUMENTS in a FRE that made it larger than 3/4 inch thick. Much less the 28 fat quarters I got in one once!

However...sometimes if it is not a heavy item it is cheaper to send WITHOUT sending it flat rate.
When my husband was in Iraq I use to fill diaper boxes with light foods, roman noodles, oatmeal, easy mac, chips, stuff like that. Then I would send canned goods in a FRB. Many times it was cheaper to send a STUFFED diaper box than it was to send the FRB!

You can actually fit a normal FRE inside a FR padded envelope, so that gives you a good idea of the size. Also, they come in a nice box that you can re-use for shipping larger items (thanks, USPS!!)

I have heard that even if your PO or the machine accepts them, some chooch on the other end might try to collect postage due from the recipient. Brilliant.

They come in bulk. 1 pack is 10. If you wanted 10, your order should have been for 1.

No she ordered right. I just ordered mine. She shouldn't have gotten 100. max is 15 envelopes

Minimum order: 1 pack of 5, 10, or 15 envelopes
Maximum order: 1 pack of 15 envelopes

 I remember seeing that post. I wasn't able to put in a higher number than "1" on the order page.

Perhaps your USPS account is set up as a "business" one. Mine is so old I don't remember, but it's possible it's "personal," and there are limitations on order quantities. Maybe. Who knows?

I'll try again next week. Right now it's not letting me order anything.

In the top right section where it says "items" , select what size pack you want (pack of 5, 10, or 15)

I've got the packing slip...I ordered "1" quantity of "10"...and my packing slip says that.

It was the shipper that can't read "1 qty" of 10.
