I'm watching....can't believe the 2nd. half for those Steelers!
Amazing catch this last Green Bay throw.
My oldest son is a Steelers fan and hubby is a Green Bay fan.

Scrapquilt 01-15-2011 06:36 PM

Hubby and me

Jill 01-15-2011 06:41 PM

We were watching Steelers/Baltimore (we're Steelers fans) and the Ohio State basketball game. Both were good games. DH watched, I listened and made yo-yo's. By the end of basketball season I should have enough yo-yo's for a king-size quilt!

Cybrarian 01-15-2011 06:46 PM

Just watching none of my caves are in it this year; like college the best. Keeping a close eye on Notre Dame's recruiting class. Getting some great freshmen!

Kathy-Pgh 01-15-2011 06:52 PM

watched and won! GO STEELERS!

lhavelka 01-15-2011 06:53 PM

julia58 01-15-2011 06:54 PM

Boscobd 01-15-2011 07:32 PM

DH is watching. I was sewing (started a new quilt today), but now am surfing the board. He tells me when to watch a repeat of a good play!!

Snorky Lvs2Quilt 01-15-2011 07:38 PM

Marlys 01-15-2011 07:49 PM

I love football and will watch all four games this weekend. DH and I have a fire going and enjoyed both games today.

Lystra 01-16-2011 04:22 AM

I'm all about some good football playoffs!! My falcons let me down though.

Julie in NM 01-16-2011 04:29 AM

Cheese head here. WOOPEE!!

Edie 01-16-2011 04:39 AM

I am. Watched the Ravens lose yesterday afternoon and the Pack win last night. Our neighbor (from Wisconsin) said to me yesterday "You'll root for the Packers won't you, Edie?" "Sure I will". I did - It was such a rout! You know I can say "Go, Pack, go" and hope like heck they fall on their face in the process. Viking fans are like that, you know. Wisconsin is our neighbor. We are nice to our neighbors. But that is where it ends. Those Cheeseheads are something else. HA HA - We got Brett Favre for probably the best year he ever had in his whole life and then probably this year when he had the worst year of his whole life. I do think, however, that all of the teams were out to get him. Sort of like a prize trophy on the den wall. I liked the Ravens/Steelers game better. See how today's games go! I like to sit and sew and watch the games. I am going to go through football withdrawal I can feel it already. Then we can look forward to the draft! I hope they pick some decent ones this year. Well, Happy Withdrawal. Edie

luv2so 01-16-2011 04:53 AM

Yep, I sure am and cheering for Chicago Bears to win another Super Bowl.

Go Bears!
My husband is an Atlanta fan. We have to stay in two different rooms when any Atlanta team plays a Chicago team.
He doesn't have to worry about the Falcons any more, they lost to Green Bay last night.

Now he can cheer for the Bears.

Edie, your post just cracked me up....you are so right! I was born and raised in Minnesota and know all about that rivalry with the Packers. It's been fun reading everyone's posts this morning - I love football both college and pro - so fun to share it with everyone. Congrats to Steelers and Packer fans...two more games to go this afternoon. I am surrounded by Bears fans here - but I remain loyal to my Vikings. I always did play the martyr role very well :-D Ah, well, any true Vikings fan will always say " there's always next year" !!!!

patchsamkim 01-16-2011 06:04 AM

Watched the end of the Steeler's game, and most of the Packer's game. Yea to the Packers!!!!!!!!! Will watch at least part of the games today. Usually have some hand work to do while sitting.

Being from Wisconsin...am really hoping that the Packers get to and win the Superbowl!

The Vikings are celebrating 50 years this year. I would suspect I have said "there's always next year" at least 50 times. Always the eternal optimist - that's a Minnesotan for ya!!!! Edie

ragqueen03 01-16-2011 06:07 AM

i watched the steelers game! love that black and gold - but the whole time i was itching to sew something (didn't tell hubby that though he would think I'm nuts) but decided a definite project this year is a steelers quilt to cuddle up while watching them!

sophie 01-16-2011 06:36 AM

I'm from NJ and getting ready to watch the Jets game today. I love football and get a lot of applique done durinjg football season.

Sophie

puck116 01-16-2011 06:40 AM

Can't wait for the game today, Sunday. Go Pats!!

joan_quilts 01-16-2011 06:49 AM

I live 12 miles from the MD state line, and let me tell you, the tensions between Ravens and Steelers fans was high! I am orginally from Maryland, but am a big time Steelers fan! I was so glad when the boys brought that game home! Go STEELERS!

mountain deb 01-16-2011 07:55 AM

Nope, not interested. Have not looked yet, but usually work 3-11, never know what days I work. Might catch some of it If I work form some of the tvs that might be tuned in to it at the nursing home.

newfiegirl 01-16-2011 08:40 AM

Stayed up till 11:30pm to watch the end of the Packers game (way past my bedtime). My team's not in the playoffs and I am not a Jet fan during the regular season, but today I root for them. Who knows? They have won some games that looked like lost. GO JETS!

leonajo 01-16-2011 08:45 AM

oh yes, the games have been great this year.Don't really have a av, but Steelers looking good. Sad for Colts....

Minnisewta 01-16-2011 09:31 AM

nope, not going to happen.

caspoohbear 01-16-2011 10:09 AM

Trying to decide who to cheer for today, I think the Seahawks, it is cold in Chicago, though my Pack is so hot I think they'll push all the way to Dallas!

debbieumphress 01-16-2011 10:14 AM

I don't watch unless the COwboys are playing but will definitely be staying out of Arlington during Super bowl. I can't believe the big deal they are making out of security and sad it is necessary. That is an awesome stadium. Been to tour it and WOW......Of course, I lost my 45 yard seats when they moved. Can't afford the season tickets and blue parking now. OR rather won't pay 175.00 per seat per game. I can watch it on tv for that and buy fabric. LOL Everyone enjoy the football games. Everything is sold out around here for the Super Bowl. Even hotels here in Granbury area. Wow.

Yes, wouldn't miss them -- but our Atlanta Falcons forgot to show up to the game. Best record in the league this season and played like a bunch of peewee guys.

julia58 01-16-2011 01:59 PM

Now on to the next game, I guess i'm going for the Jets in this next one. Not a fan of Vick. He is the QB for the Patriots isn't he?

brendadawg 01-16-2011 02:04 PM

No, Michael Vick played for the Eagles this year.

trolleystation 01-16-2011 02:10 PM

This is the best part of the football season.
