Great pictures. I love the farm stuff also. This comes from my childhood, where I grew up in a small town and out in the country.

My tile layer lives in Tulsa and says you can have 6 hens and one rooster. I also had a niece that lived in gated addition and had 6 hens. I live in ok too and my son has 12 hens and no rooster because you don,t want rooster because the hens start hiding their eggs. he has all kinds of fuzzy one bought in Lebanon,Mo.at hatchery. they are fun to watch.you can check the law in Tulsa. They don,t smell or make any noise but you do have to protect them from raccons.dogs and fox,

Ohhh, these are so cute! Chickens and bantams are such fun to watch. My mom always had them as I was growing up. I always visit the Chicken Barn at the State Fair to see all the varieties, but I have never seen these; they make me smile! : )

Oh, this took me back through the years. My dad raised chickens for eggs and meat, but he built me a little enclosure for my own flock of bantams under the stairway in the barn. They were so colorful and such fun to raise. Now that my 3 year old granddaughter lives with us, maybe I can convince the Grandpa I sleep with to build us a little chicken coop so she can enjoy them, too. Anyone in the mood for a six egg omlet?

Great little chickens, Ditter! When I was a girl, we had banties for a while. Loved their little eggs, and they were so cute. Dont know why the folks didn't keep them a little longer, but great memories.
