Have you thought about taking your teacups to a consignment shop? There are antique consignment shops in our area also. You set the price and if they don't sell in a reasonable time, you can arrange to take them back home. Or, try Amazon or eBay to sell. Just a thought... I have some antique stuff also that I'd hate to give to thrift shops because they may not understand their value.

When my sister was having a tough time coming up with money to pay the property taxes, she asked if she could have a yard sale in my yard..very busy 4 lane street. She had been gathering stuff and had tools, some furniture, antiques, plants/trees and clothing. Thank goodness she was able to raise what she needed. Then she donated much of what was left to a church organization thrift store run by volunteer with just a paid manager.
